Incredible but true! The referendum on the Neighbourhood Plan is now less than four weeks away!

As many of you will know, a little used part of the school’s land has been included in the Neighbourhood Plan as a candidate site for housing. If the Neighbourhood Plan is approved in the referendum on Thursday 10 March and if the school subsequently sells the land, the money raised will be invested in rejuvenating the school.

The school’s governing body has identified a number of ways in which the money could be used to transform the school. These include a new Hall providing an inspiring space for performance art, a Creative Technologies Centre integrating digital technology with the creative disciplines and dramatically improved sports facilities.

A Neighbourhood Plan is an exercise in local democracy. The referendum is a chance for the people of Henley and Harpsden to take control of the future of their town and village and at the same time an opportunity to secure the rejuvenation of the community secondary school. We urge you to vote in the referendum on Thursday 10th March and to support the Neighbourhood Plan.
